Where else to begin than with Apple’s own offering? Premium price does with it bring a choice of four colours, so if you went with the rose gold iPhone, hey, you can match it to this dock. It works with iPhone 5 and later.
Connect it to the mains and it will charge, but connect it to your PC or Mac and it’ll sync with iTunes. Be warned though, despite the price this dock does not come with a USB cable, so be prepared to use the one that came with your phone, or fork out for another.
OK, so this dock is actually even more than Apple’s. £30 more. To be honest, we’re not sure why, but it makes our round up for its exceptional build quality and the fact it ships with a USB cable. Again, it’ll work with any iPhone with a Lightning port, so iPhone 5 or later – but not the Plus models (iPhone 6 Plus and 6s Plus) due to the design.
It has a pivoting Lightning connector to allow leeway if you have a case on, though confusingly this dock is not compatible with Mophie’s own cases. It’s also a nicely designed, solid hunk of product, so it won’t move around on your desk. It is a luxury purchase, but a great dock.
