Losing one of Apple’s tiny new AirPods will probably be an unfortunately common occurrence for customers/ Apple already has a plan in place that will allow you to buy a replacement pod when you invetiably lose one, but it won’t be cheap.

Apple updated its warranty guidelines today detailing the pricing of AirPod replacements. The good news is that the company will fix issues covered under the Apple One Year Limited Warranty for free.

If your AirPods are no longer under warranty, Apple will swap the battery on your AirPods or charging case for $49. Replacement AirPods and charging cases will cost $69 a piece. So if you lose two buds you might as well buy an all-new set.

Apple’s warranty covers defective batteries but no normal wear from use. AirPods that experience significant loss in battery capacity over time can be fixed for the $49 battery service fee.

AirPods finally went on sale this week after a long delay. Apple revealed them alongside the iPhone 7 as an answer to the device’s missing headphone jack. The new AirPods cost $159 and can sync to multiple devices.

Shipping times on the new AirPods has already slipped to a 6 week wait, though some supplies can be found at your local Apple Store if you’re lucky.
